Creative Bliss

Sometimes messy chaos is required, in order to be creative.
My melon making tools.  A mechanical pencil to trace the template on freezer paper and fabric.  Cut the fabric melon out, iron on the freezer paper, and glue the edges.
Iron the background into four parts on the diagonal for placement lines and baste the melons on.
Two melon blocks and a rainbow were hand-stitched outside today.  Tomorrow's weather will be equally divine.  I tormented the neighbors with an eclectic music mix of Pinchas Zukerman's "Vivaldi: The Four Seasons", Josh Groban, and ABBA.
I had planned to finish "My Small World" by Jen Kingwell back in August.  It has been nearly three months since I last stitched on this project.  New deadline is by year end.  :)
A few rows were knitted up outside too.

Hope you're enjoying great weather, wherever you are.

I'M BACK WITH A NEW NAME AND HOPEFULLY A NEW ATTITUDE!

This is me with a joyful HI! bouncing back into the blogosphere.
I'm known for wearing my heart on my sleeve and being way too honest with "TMI." This year has been crazy insane.  It's time to take back control of my life.  Yesterday, I disobeyed the DH and clicked "DROP" as in Humanities 7000.  I will endure the consequences when the DH finds out.  October has been difficult, with loosing three people.  Cancer SUCKS!  The tears have opened the flood gates.  I made the decision to start living my life for myself and not always making decisions on whether or not others would approve.  Hopefully, everyone will notice my beautiful smile again soon.

The new name alludes to patching up my insecurities with fibre therapy.  Maybe a few relationships too.  :)  Time will tell.
My latest fibre passion has been learning to knit.  Knitting has been the perfect solution in keeping my brain engaged.  Surprisingly, it takes a huge amount of concentration to follow directions!

This shawlette is "Brickless", a pattern by Martina Behm knitted with Bling Alpaca Yarn from Roving Acres.  Martina noted that the name represented "No more bricks in the wall that used to divide Berlin." I wore the shawlette to a concert where "Let there be Peace on Earth" was performed, a favorite right up there with "He Will Raise you up on Eagle's Wings."
My sister inferred that I should quit school to knit and sell this "Stripe Study Shawl" pattern by Veera Vaalimaaki knitted with Kauni Effeckt yarn.  LOL
I have been busy!  This pattern is "Free Market Cowl" from Cascade Yarns knitted with Rabat Adobe.

My hope is that I will be reconnecting with everyone soon!  I'll try not to be a stranger.
BTW, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
